I’ve always been active.

Moving, pushing myself, and teaching others has been a huge part of my life.

I grew up riding horses, then teaching riding. I went to school for horses, and then eventually I teaching, getting a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I spent close to 10 years in the primary classroom, teaching Kindergarteners and first graders. My love of teaching helped me launch my fitness business. I teach for empowerment, for my clients and my students to do things they didn’t think they could. To push themselves in different ways, to grow from their mistakes, and push harder next time. I teach to build confidence. I want my clients to feel comfortable trying new things, to accept and be ok with failing, but using that failure as a way to succeed. I want my clients to take out all their stress, frustrations, and anxiety during our sessions. My goal is for them to be truly present, to focus on their bodies and their movement, to make mind / muscle connections, and to find joy in pushing themselves.

When you push yourself out of your comfort zone in the gym, it doesn’t matter if you succeed or fail, that feeling of trying, of going outside your boundaries, is what you will carry with you through your day. By making small and big progressions in health and fitness, you’ll feel not only physically better, but you’ll be mentally stronger and more open and willing to try new things. I am a strong believer in the power of movement and that’s why I started Saint J Fitness. To share my love of movement with you!
